No Bailing Missing a workout becomes much harder if you know you have a friend counting on you. You don’t want to be THAT person, right? Just this once, guilt can be a good thing! Scheduling a gym session with a friend helps hold you accountable.
Competitive Much? Exercising with buddy pushes you to do your best. Maybe you’re a bicep curl machine, but your friend can plank for days. Game on! If you work out with a friend who is stronger or faster, you are likely to test your own limits and see some major gains.
Keeps It Fresh Working out with others (a personal trainer, perhaps?) helps you step out of your comfort zone and try something new. A trainer or a friend not only offers new ideas, but can really boost your confidence! And, serve as a spotter if you need one – safety first!
Makes Fitness Fun We’re social creatures and working out alone can just be pain lonely. It’s nice to have someone to chat with between sets – laugh, bond, commiserate. And, time flies when you’re having fun! Not only will you want a repeat, but your workout will be over before you know it. Plus, maybe you grab a healthy snack afterward and check in on each other between sessions – healthy habits on repeat!
